Malaysia Week!

There are a million words that could describe Malaysia Week... but to sum it all up in 2 words I would have to say "TOTALLY AWESOME!" Malaysia Week is where all the Middle School students go to an ocean or rain forest site and you learn about Malaysia some but also just have a lot of fun and meet new people that were on your site. I went to an ocean site called Pulau Lang Tengah Timur and my site leaders were Mrs.Recter and Mr.Whiting. We snorkeled, kayaked, hiked a little and the day before we left to go back home we did an Amazing Race! On the Amazing Race you were with a partner and you were given clues, you had to figure out the clue and then go to the clue, there you would find a piece of a picture... at the end of the hour you everyone put their pictures on the table and we had top make one big picture out of all the little pieces. I can't wait till next year for the next Malaysia Week! :)

Winter Break (Part 2)

Also in Chengdu after the New Year. We saw the Pandas there, and they were sooooooooooooooooooooooo (i could go on and on) cute. I thought I would let my sister type what she thought about the pandas, So here she is: Hi! At the Panda park we saw baby pandas, kid, teen and adult. We saw the Giant Panda and the Red Panda. Bye. That was my sister talking about the panda park. We went on a river cruise and got to see all the beautiful scenery. We also went to see two villages and plenty more stairs. While touring the city we went to the Reed Flute Cave and visited 2 hills for hiking and scenery. That basically wraps up our vacation. I think you would enjoy China if you ever visited it.

Winter Break!

Hey again. It's finally winter break! Well... it's been winter break for at least a week or 2. Anyways my family and I went to China for the break and I thought I would write about our trip, or what has happened so far. We were in Beijing for the 1st three days of our trip. We climbed the Great Wall of China and walked up and down over 2,200 steps in all! We also saw an awesome acrobatic show, The Forbidden City, Tian'an Men Square, and we were lucky enough to get to drive by the Birds Nest and Water Cube! For the 4th, 5th, and 6th day we drove up to Chengdu. We took a boat ride to a huge Buddha and walked even more steps, at least 1,200. We also took a cable car up to a temple. We of course counted the stairs (it's what we do when we hike in places with stairs) and we walked at least 4,300 steps! Now I am sitting at my Dad's computer at the hotel on New Years Eve typing a blog. Well... have A Happy New Years and A Good Break!

My Favorite Sport

Softball, I love softball because well… I just love it. If you don’t know what softball is (and I hope you do) here are some of the rules. You have a pitcher who throws the ball to a batter on the oppisite team. If the batter hits the ball then he runs. You have 9 people on the field, the 1st baseman, 2nd baseman, 3rd baseman, shortstop, catcher, pitcher, left field, right field, and center field. All 9 people are trying to get the ball, who ever gets it throws it to 1st base and if the ball gets to the base before the batter does then the batter is out. Sounds easy right? Well guess what that’s only the basics, there are so many more rules that ifI tried to put them all on this page I would 2-3 pages full of rules of softball. That’s why I put this link on about the rules of softball.I started playing softball when I was about 6, so being twelwe I have played for about 5 years because after we moved to Malaysia there was no softball so we found a baseball team. Softball and Baseball are basically the same some of the only differences are in softball the ball is bigger tham in baseball. Baseball is usually played with boys and softball with girls. The pitching styles are different. I practice every Saturday and this weekend November 29 and 30 we are going to Singapore for a tournament! I love tournaments because its fun to play other teams and I ecspecally love tournaments when you travel to a new place because you get to new things and places.

Amazing Wonders of The Paper Plate

The paper plate might be a weird topic but I was hungry at the time and we had to write about an invention and so the paper plate came into mind. The paper plate is a very simple invention but it saves life's because without the plate you could die from disease because many people have touched a table and you don't know where their hands have been and you don't know when the table was last washed. The paper plate also saves time. Instead of having to wash a plate, and waste water, you can use the paper plate.
Who invented the Paper Plate?
Elky Cox Simmins invented the paper plate.
The word plate means:
The word "plate" means a dish on which food is served or from which food is eaten off of. Noun.

When was the paper plate invented:
The paper plate was invented in 1904.
The paper plate is also a good item to have at a party. Instead of having to wash all of your reusable plates you can just give your guests paper plates. It also prevents from getting broken plates. If you are worried about losing a plate, bring a paper plate instead.
The paper plate is simple, but it solved many problems and kept many people from getting sick.

SPCA

I love dogs, cats, turtles, and almost any other pet you could think of. Working with the SPCA is a great way to have fun and to help animals. Recently at our school we had someone from the SPCA came to talk to us. She said that they got many stray animals that needed homes and that they couldn't find homes for all the animals. Thinking about this makes me sad because think about this, you are an animal in the SPCA and no one wants to adopt you, how would you feel. :( It is also sad when people treat their pets cruelly, but that's when the SPCA comes in. They save animals who have been treated cruelly and they also try to find those animals a new home. What can we do to help the SPCA and our fellow friends? Try volunteering for work at the SPCA, even if its for just one day, its better to have a little help then none at all. Bring in old towels, newspaper, clothes that don't fit, anything that you think could some how help the SPCA. ADOPT A PET! REMEMBER ANIMALS ARE PEOPLE TOO!!!

A Little Info

Hey!

Some important information is about to be displayed.
I love CHEESE! I also like softball, baseball, swimming and talking. Talking is one of my FAVORITE things to do! I am told sometimes that I talk to much, but I still talk anyways!
I also love the color green! It is so awesome! My favorite shade of green is Lime Green, but of course if I typed in Lime Green you wouldn't be able to read this. I choose my blog title because I love colors and as you can see my background is a ton of DOTS! Dots are so cool! My dream would probably be to make a collection of clothes that look nice with dots on it!Well I have to go and admire my DOTS! Bye Bye!!!
